The Story of Pearl
One Saturday morning at the garage changed my world. Buying and selling bikes on the side, my mechanic mentioned that he was leaving that evening to pick up a pearl white Heritage. My heart skipped a beat – I felt supercharged; buzzing with excitement- he was going to bring home my new bike! “Sorry” he said, “I’ve got two people lined up to look at it on Monday when I get back”. “What if I gave you a down payment right now?” I asked. “Guess those others won’t be needing to come look at the bike.” And so I raced to the closest ATM and plunked down money for a bike I had never seen – knowing that we were soul mates. Companions destined for many adventures to come…
