Dear Kathy:

I hope the S.O.B. who sliced your seat and keyed the gas tank gets clap. There is absolutely no excuse for damaging somebody’s bikes like that. These damn things are entirely too expensive — especially in this economy — to have to have to sustain unnecessary and costly repairs. Yours was the first case of deliberate bike vandalism I’ve heard of this year.

mq01: Really wish I knew your name. I enjoy reading your blog and your sense of humor. Don’t you love how knights show up just when you need them? Sounds like you could have used one to slay your last date (pfffffft).

G-Dog: You gave away my last post already . I told you you should have taken the ATV to Ken too.

Ok, so I forgot the story of the Key Deer – like just after I said I’d never seen one, we see one that tried to take on a Harley. Guess who won? If by near-accident conditions you mean the speed demons who passed us on the 7 Mile Bridge, ok, I get that one. As for things that go bump in the night – that’s between you and me…

Ah ha, so that is how Part 3 turned out.

OR is the story actually over because you don’t have either “bikes” back in the corral do you?

Could it be that the motorcycle repair was simple (in relative terms) and that the ATV repair was complicated due to the fact that the ATV mechanic could not find the leak in the carburetor because the dang machine was DRAINED of fuel and the service manager failed to inform him?

These are just some of the burning questions one needs to address in your next installment in addition to Key Deer sightings, near accident conditions and the subtles thing that go bump in the night.

im glad that everything turned out ok. with gas leaks it could have been a hugely scary outcome. those knights in shining armor are worth their weight in gold

I have enjoyed the way you told this story.
Of course your right, EVERY thing happens for a reason.
The seat and paint? Who knows, maybe a lesson that everything we love will need a face lift…sometime sooner than later? LOL anyway…it’s great when we can see the good of bad things.
